Change how the widget looks
Your name and logo, the header colours and the chat button on your site.
Make the chat widget look like your shop's website: its name, logo, colours and the round button that opens it.
Inboxes → your inbox → Widget → Appearance
- Under Brand, fill in Title with your shop's name. Click Choose image to upload a Logo, and up to three Team photos.
- Pick an Accent colour. It colours buttons, links and the visitor's own messages.
- Under Header, choose a Background: Gradient or Solid colour. For a gradient, click one of the Presets, or set a Start colour, an End colour and a Direction.
- Leave Text colour on Auto unless the header text is hard to read.
- Under Launcher button, choose a Style: Chatwig gradient, Colour or Image. Then pick a Position: Bottom left or Bottom right.
- To open the chat by itself, turn on Open the chat automatically and set Open after (seconds). You can also pick a Sound.
- Under Quick chats & message box, add Quick chats: one-tap messages, like "Where is my order?". You can also change the Message box placeholder and Show read receipts.
- Click Save changes on the bar at the bottom of the page.
Good to know
- The preview shows your changes before you save.
- Changes reach your site the next time a visitor opens the widget.
- A launcher image can be a PNG or JPG up to 10 MB, cropped to a circle. A GIF up to 2 MB keeps moving but isn't cropped, so use a square one.
- Browsers stay silent until the visitor clicks or types on the page, so not everyone hears the sound.
- You can add up to 6 quick chats. They show under the welcome message.
- Not on your site yet? Install the widget.
